On 15 April 1861 Erhard Junghans created the company "Junghans und Tobler" together with his brother-in-law Jakob Zeller-Tobler in Schramberg, Germany. The company began to produce wristwatches in 1927. Junghans company was the world's largest watch factory, with over 3,000 employees were produced more than 3 million watches annually in 1903. Today Junghans Uhren GmbH is Germany's largest watch and clock manufacturer.
