A gilt and enamel easel back desk or bedside clock by Hermès.  This handsome and very practical clock is super quality, and has a beautiful look to it.  There is also the addition of a date window just above the six o'clock marker.  The finish to the entire front, including the dial is a mottled red and black finish, glossy and rich.  The dial has the classic gilt printed script that Hermès have used on a number of their watches and clocks, and is very much a signature of their time pieces.  It is signed Hermès Paris, and Swiss made, all of which sit below fine gilt pencil hands with center seconds sweep.  The case design is reminiscent of their iconic "Acreau" watch, where the lugs attach onto the watch.

The clock is quartz powered, which allows for very low maintenance.  Only adjusting of the date on shorter or longer months.  There is a 'quick set' feature to the crown allowing for this to be achieved with a simple turn of the crown.  The clock is superb condition throughout.  Swiss made, circa 1990's.
